Day 12 - Stirling (Rest Day)

Rest. Sweet, blissful rest.

It almost felt odd today waking up without an obligation to get on the bike. So very strange to not have some degree of structure to our day, with a briefing from Chris the night prior. I'd gotten so used to being on the bike that I was just about ready to stick my hand out to signal that I was turning down an alleyway.. while I was walking!

In fact, it's been quite a nice treat to have a chance to explore Stirling, though it seems to have escaped the excitement of the Scottish Referendum being held today.

Lunch was at the Maharaja, a lovely Indian place that got glowing reviews from Jonathan and I after last night's tandoori supper in our hotel room, just before midnight. Delicious serving of butter chicken and spiced rice!

We played some pool at the local Riley's after, then I had to excuse myself to catch up on my electives project, which had a rough start to begin with but thankfully is taking form fairly well now.

Tomorrow, Scotland will (or will not) be an independent country.. I'm just glad we've already crossed the borders!
